I’m interested in having my pet stay at Kiki’s, what should I do? |

If you’re interested in having your pet stay with us please:
a. Download and fill out an application form.
b. Once you’ve completed the application form please call us at (718)222-5585
to set up an interview so we can meet your furry friend.
c. Please bring a copy of your pet’s vaccination paperwork to the interview.
d. Once your pet “aces” the interview he/she may begin boarding or daycare immediately.

What is involved in the interview? |
|
The primary objective of the interview is to get to know your pet and understand if he/she would thrive in Kiki’s cageless environment. During the interview we ask a series
of questions to better understand your pet as well as take him/her into the play area to see how he/she interacts with the other guests.

What if I want to have my pet boarded but don’t have the time to come beforehand for an interview? |
|
Interviews are mandatory for all of our canine guests. If you believe that your pet will have no problem passing the interview you may schedule the interview on the same day that
you would like to have him/her boarded. However, please understand that if we determine that your pet would not fit well with the Kiki’s environment, or if we determine that your pet needs to return for further evaluation,
your pet will not be allowed to stay. We strongly advise that you schedule interviews in advance of the day that you require our services.

Is there an age requirement for pets to stay at Kiki’s? |
|
All pets must be at least 4 months of age to stay at Kiki’s. Older dogs are always welcome to stay with us as long as they are in good health.

Does my dog have to be spayed (or neutered) to stay at Kiki’s? |
|
Male dogs over 6 months must be neutered in order to stay with us. It is recommended that female dogs be spayed for the improvement of their health but this is not a
requirement. However female dogs may not stay at Kiki’s while in heat.

What vaccinations must my pet have in order to stay at Kiki’s? |
|
For the safety of our guests all pets staying with us must be current of the following vaccinations:
- DHPP – also known as the 4 in 1 shot (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Para-Influenza)
- Rabies
- Bordatella (please note that this vaccine must be administered every six (6) months)

My pet is boarding at Kiki’s, what should I bring with him/her? |
|
We request that you bring enough food to last the duration of his/her stay. You may
also bring anything else that you think may make your pet’s stay with us more comfortable.

Can my dog get a bath or be groomed before he leaves Kiki’s Pet Hotel? |
|
Sure if your dog just needs a bath before he/she goes home we can definitely do that. All other grooming services (i.e. hair cuts, nail clips etc)
are done at our sister facility Kiki’s Pet Spa. If you would like to have your dog groomed while he/she is staying with us please let us know when you drop-off so that we can coordinate with Kiki’s Pet Spa. |
